Co-Generation is the largest single thing that can be done to reduce pollution, foreign oil, home utility cost, load on the grid. With todays technology it can be extended to personnel transportation, home and commercial heating and cooling etc.The primary fuels are Natural Gas and Propane.
It is being blocked at every level, it doesn’t need to be subsidized, and it is very cost effective unlike wind and solar.
For example this writers company installed a Co-Gen unit in Chester Utah in cooperation with Utah State University, after it was ready to go on line it took 3 years to get it permitted, and it ran on the methane from the cow manure. You can’t get much “greener” than that, the message was loud and clear “don’t try this again.”
